Once your swimming pool screen enclosure has reached a 10-year lifespan, you might notice some discoloring on the aluminum from the sun or even areas where the paint is chipping away. You may even see some rusty screws along the bottom plating or throughout the pool screen enclosure. With the extent of prep work that we provide, you can rest assured everything will get done correctly. After completing the painting, your existing pool screen enclosure will look brand new again. The entire painting process takes about 7 days from beginning to end.
Step 1
The first part of the process begins when we completely remove the old screens and old spline. We also remove any rusted/broken screws throughout the entire screen enclosure.
Step 2
The second part follows with the screen enclosure getting thoroughly pressure washed to remove any existing dirt or debris.
Step 3
We use a commercial grade, high PSI pressure washer with an oscillating tip to ensure we uncover all areas requiring sanding. Doing so will be helpful before we begin painting to maintain a fresh, clean coat.
Step 4
The third step ensures that everything gets covered to protect from overspray. This includes the pool, pool deck, house, windows, and wherever needed - to maintain the quality of your home.
Step 5
Once shielded, we sand all the necessary areas to ensure a quality paint job. When the sanding is complete, we apply Loxon primer to the pool screen enclosure. We will paint your screen enclosure as soon as the applicant is set. We only use Sherwin-Williams paint and products. Lastly, we topcoat the enclosure with Direct-To-Metal (DTM) paint specifically designed for metal.
Step 6
We re-screened the entire pool screen enclosure three days after the painting was completed and replaced all door hardware kits. The finishing product we provide should leave you satisfied, and rest assured that you made the right choice.
